Charity
Lodge United Services No. 58 on the rolls of the Grand Lodge of India has been very actively involved in many charity activities.
Apart from the Grand Master’s Rupee Club, TARA Old Age Home (run by Freemason Society of Bangalore) and Dhaanya Daan scheme, Lodge United Services has contributed to some major charity projects for many years.
In 2007, a major project was undertaken to build a cafeteria at a cost of Rs.1.25 lakhs for the Spastic Society in Bangalore.
More recently, during the RGL Southern India Annual Investiture Meet held in Bangalore in January 2009, a brand new Maruti Omni Van (4 wheeler costing approximately Rs.2.8 lakhs) was donated to Tejaswi Seva Trust (a home for the blind and underprivilaged) by the brethren of our Lodge in the hands of the M.W The Grand Master, M.W.Bro.Justice.Devender Gupta, O.S.M
